A concierge doctor differs from a traditional primary care physician primarily in accessibility, personalization, and patient load. While both provide standard medical care, most traditional primary care practices see between 2,000–4,000 patients, limiting the time available per patient. Concierge doctors, by contrast, limit their panel to around 200–400 patients, allowing for longer appointments, same-day or next-day visits, direct communication via phone or text, expedited specialist referrals, and comprehensive preventive care. The concierge membership fee covers these enhanced services and convenience, on top of standard medical care.
